Richard was raised on a farm in Pembrokeshire, Wales, and spent a number of years in the 1990s working in Australia and backpacking and teaching English around Asia. After a degree and masters degree in Development Studies from Exeter University and London School of Economics respectively, Richard worked as a technical writer at The Global Fund to Fight HIV/Aids, TB & Malaria in Geneva, and later at the United Nations.
Some years later, Richard moved into the food business, creating Switzerland’s Holy Cow! Gourmet Burger Company. More recently, Richard has enjoyed creative writing in his spare time, and his two first novels have been published by Graffeg, UK.
Richard is currently writing a novella for the Books Council Wales “Quick Reads” series, to be published in October 2023, as well as a guidebook to crossing the Nepal Himalayas by bike, set for publication in summer 2024.
